We've written this in plain English on purpose. Most privacy policies are unreadable. This one isn't.
What we store and why
Your name
Why: So messages feel personal and your cleaner knows who they're talking to.
e.g. When your cleaner sends a report, it says "Hi Hatti" โ not "Hi Customer #4182."
Who sees it: Your cleaner only
Your WhatsApp number
Why: It's how we identify you. Every message you send is matched to your account.
e.g. When you message "what time is my next clean?", we find your booking and reply โ all in seconds.
Who sees it: Your cleaner only
Your property address
Why: So your cleaner knows where to go, and so the checklist is specific to your home.
e.g. "12 Church Lane" is stored so the checklist says "Kitchen at Church Lane" โ not a generic list.

Why: So every clean is consistent and your cleaner knows exactly what you expect.
e.g. If you've said "don't move the plant on the windowsill", your cleaner sees it every time.

Your messages
Why: So the assistant can remember context and we can review issues if something goes wrong.
e.g. If you reported a problem last week, we can look back to understand what happened.
Who sees it: Clean Team admin only
Your clean history
Why: A record of completed cleans and any notes.
e.g. You can ask "when was my last clean?" and get an instant answer.
Who sees it: You and your cleaner
What we never do
- โShare your data with other customers
- โShare your data with other cleaners or operators
- โSell your data to anyone
- โUse your data for advertising
How we protect your data
- Stored in a secure database with row-level security โ only your cleaner can access your records
- Messages sent via Twilio's secure WhatsApp Business API
- We never store payment card details
How long we keep your data
As long as you're an active Clean Team customer. To delete your account, message us: "Delete my account" โ we'll remove everything within 7 days.
AI and your messages
Clean Team uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to understand and respond to your messages.
- Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response
- We don't use your messages to train AI models
- The AI only has access to your own data โ never another customer's

Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your account and all your data
